High alimina bricks for blast furnaces were mainly made from Bauxite, being high pressure pressed and sintered in high temperature.Main minerals compositions are mullite and corundum phases.  

On the basis of the clay brick high alumina bricks, changing the AI2O3/SiO2 ratio increased AI2O3 content, and thus refractoriness and high temperature mechanical strength are superior to clay. Thus, a variety of thermal equipment, parts of the original with silica brick, or brick can be replaced with aluminum brick. With high alumina bricks to replace the brick and silica brick, can increase the service life of thermal equipment. Currently, it is mainly used for masonry furnace, stove, electric roof, ladle, cement kilns, glass kilns and chemical industry furnace, this is also used for open-hearth furnace regenerator lattice bricks, pouring system using plug head , outlet switch andso on;These products were widely used in all parts of fumace lining because of their excellent physical/chemical properties in high temperature
